Ramana Communications' Mudhalvar Mahatma directed by Balakrishna and featuring Anupam Kher is releasing today. The film boasts music by none other than Isaignani, Ilaiyaraja. The director's earlier work was the critically acclaimed Sathyaraj starrer, Periyar.
Anna Hazare, the Jan Lokpal bill advocate watched the Hindi version of the film, Welcome Back Gandhi, for its Gandhian principles. It is the first film he has reportedly watched in 40 years! The film tries to get the audience to reconnect with Gandhian principles using a unique approach.
