Aaranya Kaandam had a wonderful showing at the National Awards this year picking up two awards for best debutant director which went to Thiagarajan Kumararaja and editing, which went to KL Praveen. Interest in the film has revived in big ways and the producer, SPB Charan is hoping to capitalize on it.
Aaranya Kaandam will have a re - release in the USA this weekend on the 23rd of March. The film will also be dubbed and released in Telugu shortly. It will be remembered that the film won the Grand Jury award in the South Asian International Film Festival, NY. The film had Sampath Raj, Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishnan, and Yasmin Ponnapa in the lead roles.
