After much deliberation, Shah Rukh Khan has decided to do the Hindi remake of AR Murugadoss's hit film with Vijaykanth, Ramana over Gautham Menon's film with Kamal Haasan, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be producing this venture.
SRK took his time to decide as both are promising films and were offered to him at the same time. Finally, the fact that Murugadoss has already delivered a blockbuster with Ghajini worked in his favor. Also SRK did not want to play a cop at present for he feels it will be seen as a repetition after Salman's Chulbul Pandey in Dabaang. Finally, he loved the story of the common man taking on the system in an intelligent way.
