Saguni, starring Karthi and Praneetha and directed by Shankar Dayal was expected to have a Tamil New Year release but unfortunately that seems unlikely now. The producers, Dream Warriors while going through the rushes said that they feel the villain, Salim Ghouse's performance is not satisfactory. So it has been decided that entire portions of the film have to be shot again with another actor.
Prakash Raj who has been shooting for Dabaang 2 with Salman Khan has been signed on for Saguni. Now Prakash Raj and Karthi will rock together. Santhanam and Radhika are also part of the cast and word is that they are the surprise packages in the film. Saguni is likely to be released in May.
