Seems like the FEFSI issue is getting murkier day by day. In the meeting convened yesterday by the Producer Council members, it was decided to float a new organization called Tamil Film Labor Association in an effort to mute FEFSI and its members. Producer Council member Thyagarajan stated that there are two employee welfare organizations in AP, Karnataka and Kerala and Tamil Nadu has only one so far. This new association will be headed by Bharathiraja, according to him.
However, not everyone is in agreement with this idea. S A Chandrasekhar staged a walk out during the meeting stating that he is not in agreement with the idea and that there should not be a rival organization. Meanwhile, FEFSI has announced another series of protests. Members will also meet the Labor Officer this morning to emphasize on their requirements.
