Just as we thought that the FEFSI strike is coming to an end with discussions heading on the road to peaceville, comes news about a twist in the tale, an unpleasant one at that. Producers' Council convened on the 15th of March and arrived at a few resolutions, which could turn a new leaf in the strike and prolong it. In a detailed statement issued by the Council, it is mentioned that the ill-will between Ameer and Studio Green's Gnanavelraja - owing to the Paruthiveeran issue - has flared up resulting in Ameer insinuating the FEFSI members and bringing the shooting of Studio Green's Karthi starrer Alex Pandian to a grinding halt.
Under these circumstances, Producers' Council, in their 3-pointer resolution stated that it would initiate action against Ameer for his actions. It is also decided that Ameer will not receive any cooperation from either the Distributors Council or Theatre Owners Association in the future. One day strike will be carried out on 19th March by suspending all shoots and convening to decide on the next course of action against Ameer. Also, all further discussions about wage raise will be put on hold until FEFSI members apologize for their actions, the resolution further stated.
