The industry has been abuzz with the news that Vettai will be remade in Hindi with Madhavan and Shahid Kapoor. While it appears that Shahid has given the nod for the project, Madhavan is yet to confirm whether he will be reprising his role as he has said in the past that he finds remakes tedious work and even passed up on the chance to return to his 3 Idiots character for Nanban.
Sure enough, Madhavan said that he has not given the green light for the project. The actor said that the hectic schedule he has been following has taken its toll on his health and his knee has been giving him trouble. Maddy wants to get it fixed and focus on getting back into form before he commits to any more projects.
