The entire unit of Vaanam is currently in Mumbai’s Filmcity to shoot a song. A massive set has been erected that has cost the producer a few crores. While the shoot was proceeding at a hectic pace, Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies, found out that there was a fire in Bandra area where a few residences in the slums were burnt to the ground. Child artiste, Rubina Ali who starred in Academy awards winning movie, Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire was one among the unfortunate people who lost their homes.
On hearing this, Dhayanidhi Alagiri lost no time in tracking her down. She was brought to the headquarters of Venus, the company that will be marketing the audio for Vaanam and a reparation amount of Rs. 50,000 was given to her. The film’s hero, Silambarasan made the presentation. The director of Venus, Mr. Champak also donated an amount of Rs. 21,000. The timely help of these kindhearted gentlemen was very much appreciated.
