KV Anand is arguably a master in mesmerizing the audience with his choice of locations. He is also picking out the best locations for Maatraan. The team brags to have shot a major portion in the Balkan Peninsula, mainly in countries like Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.
The buzz now is that KV Anand and cinematographer Sounder Rajan were in Madagascar, hunting for a forest location to shoot a song for the film. But Suriya has supposedly said no to it as the location picked can only be reached after a 25 km walk. Suriya’s tight dates are also a major reason for this decision. So KV Anand has decided to erect a similar set somewhere in India, probably Mumbai, to create the same look as in Madagascar.
