Chitra Swaminathan, a famous photographer in Tamil film industry passed away today. He was 72. He was affectionately called ‘Thoppi Chitra’ by everyone in the industry. Actor Rajinikanth was one of his good friends. The actor had also presented him a professional camera as a token of friendship.
The ace photographer had been suffering from ill health for some time now. He was recently admitted at the Ramachandra Medical College Hospital, where he passed away today following a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
