The London Olympics is a just few weeks away and the opening ceremony of the celebrated sports event is always a pleasure to watch. This year’s event is going to a bit more special for the people of Tamil Nadu, for one of Maestro Ilayaraja’s songs has made it to the playlist of the Olympic opening ceremony.
A lesser known song, ‘Naanthaan Ungappanda’ from the 1980s Kamal Haasan starrer Ram Lakshman will be played during the grand event. Danny Boyle, the director of Academy Award winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is said have conceptualized the ceremony.
