It is known and understandable that AR Rahman is one of the costliest and the most sought-after composer in India, and the news is that the Academy Award winner has been roped in to do the music for Godfather, the Kannada remake of Tamil super hit Varalaru that starred Ajith in the lead. But the composer has taken a sum of Rs 1.5 crores for the studio, artists, instruments, recording and re-recording of the film and not a penny for himself.
AR Rahman has composed two original tracks for the film and taken the rest of the tunes from his Tamil hits. He is now doing the BGMs for the film, revealed producer Manju. Upendra is doing the lead role in the film.
