Not every filmmaker would make such a statement on his heroines. But G.N.R. Kumaravelan expressed his outspoken gesture while introducing his heroine Rima Kallingal, who makes her debut in Kollywood with Yuvan Yuvathi. The filmmaker referred Rima to the famous dialogue of Dhanush in Padikadhavan, “Paathavudane Pidikaadhu, Paakka Paakkathan Pidikkum.”
“While watching the film, I felt like she looked ordinary for the first 10 minutes. But sooner I fell in love with her and so will it be with audiences as well,” said Kumaravelan, who appreciated her dedication towards the profession. Model-turned-actress Rima Kallingal has already been a part of famous Malayalam movies namely Kerala Café, Neela Thaamara, Happy Husbands and has around six films lined up for release in 2011.
“Actresses from Kerala have been endowed with good recognition in Tamil film industry. Hope I get the same treatment,” said Rima Kallingal, who stars opposite Bharath in Yuvan Yuvathi.
