June 22nd is a special day for every Vijay fan; it is the Ilaya Thalapathy’s birthday and we are sure everyone is eager to know how the star celebrated it. This birthday is special because the initial period of 2011 has been quite successful for Vijay with the release of Kaavalan and he is all set with two other big movies, Velayudham and Nanban. So, how did he celebrate the special day?
As has been Vijay’s customary birthday ritual over many years, he arrived at the Egmore hospital, along with his wife Sangeetha, and visited every newborn gifting them with a gold ring and other essentials. He then proceeded to a maternity home in Kodambakkam visiting the newborns there and gifting them similarly. And then, at a function organized at the Shobha Marriage Hall in Saligramam he distributed home appliances, provisions, school supplies and other aids to a number of people in the presence of many of his fans and well wishers.
Vijay Fans’ Assocations were also celebrating their idol’s birthday in a meaningful manner. Over 500 Vijay fans participated in a blood and eye donation camp. Vijay was wished personally by many film personalities including his current Nanban team members Shankar and Jiiva.
