Ramya Krishnan is in a world of trouble as a bailable arrest warrant has been issued against her and Vinaya Krishnan, her sister. This took place following a complaint filed by Kutti Padmini, who has claimed that the two of them violated a contractual agreement. The furor is over the serial Kalasam aired on Sun TV, which as stipulated by the contract, Kutti Padmini would serve as the creative head and be paid accordingly, but according to her this agreement was not honored.
The concerned parties were at loggerheads over this earlier and their dispute was settled by members of the Society of Television Production, South India and a fresh contract was drawn up that was agreed upon by all concerned.
Things came to a head again when Kalasam was aired in Andhra. Kutti Padmini has asserted that her name is not in the credits and this is a violation of the contract. Ramya Krishnan was unavailable for comment but we hear her lawyer is trying to have the warrant revoked.
