Films with rural backdrops have become the nitty-gritty element of Tamil film industry over the years. Especially with some of those trendsetting movies gaining international recognitions, it has become a ritual for filmmakers to travel along the same way. Udumban is the latest one to join the league that is extensively shot across the locales of Karuvelam village.
The entire cast and crew of Udumban addressed the media channels interacting about their working experience with this film.
Singing praises of Dhilip Roger, director S Balan said, “Initially Dhilip doubted whether he would be able to transform his modern guy image into a raucous villager. It is noteworthy that Dhilip is India’s No.1 Bike Racer. For more than a year, the actor underwent vigorous training over stunt and dance. Accordingly, he was able to carry out the role of Udumban with perfection.”
Udumban is produced by Modern Cinemas and is directed by S Balan, who has scored music for the film as well. Malayalam actress Sana of Classmates fame and one of the Kerala’s leading models Keerthika have played female lead roles.
