FEFSI Secretary G Siva has said that since discussions pertaining to the rise in pay for film technicians are on, film shootings will not be stalled. Siva stated that talks will go on till June 20th 2011 and on 21st a final settlement regarding the new pay would be reached. Therefore, there is no need to resort to strike, he added.
This decision has come as a welcome relief to all film producers, directors and stars. It may be mentioned here that FEFSI had called for a strike until their pay is revised.
