A deep and intense research over rare issues always remains as one of the highlighting USPs of filmmaker Bala. The perfect exampless are ‘Pithamaghan’ and ‘Naan Kadavul’ that delivered a realistic portrayal of Ganja business and physically challenged cohorts forced into begging.
The latest buzzes are that Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’ is bounded to a serious theme that will leave lump in our throats. Set in backdrops of Theni, the film revolves around a group that sells aged cows (incapable of providing milk) to buyers in Kerala for the sake of consumption as beef. The cows are purchased with accordance to its weight. To ensure that they get more money, the sellers force the aged cows to consume thick layers of mud mixed with water as it would look hefty.
Though it is not officially confirmed by the crew of ‘Avan Ivan’, it is believed that Bala is capable of adding such elements as it has been evident with his previous movies.
