The recently released bilingual Naan Ee is in theatres in Chennai and celebrities who watched it recently include superstar Rajinikanth and director Shankar. After watching the movie, superstar Rajinikanth called up Sudeep who plays the villain in the movie and congratulated him on the performance. Sudeep tweeted to this effect saying "...having Raijinikanth sir and Nagarjuna sir calling and appreciating my work....I'm really blessed. Thanks Rajamouli sir for making all this happen”.
Director Shankar, on the other hand, who saw the movie in Devi theatres wrote in the visitors book of the theatre saying that the movie was 'superb'.
