The commencement of the 32nd year of the Producers’ Council was celebrated yesterday (18 July 2011) at the Council office by cutting a cake. The Chairman-in-charge of the Producers’ Council SA Chandra Shekar, Deputy Chairman Anbalaya Prabhakaran, Secretary K Muralidharan, and Treasurer Kaja Moihdeen spearheaded the function.
Two of the seven producers who were instrumental in starting the Producers’ Council Muktha Sreenivasan and AVM Murugan were also present during this occasion. Kovai Thambi, Editor Mohan, K Balu, RK Selvamani, Pavithran, Vijaya Murali, Dhanu, PL Thenappan and others recalled the functions of the Producers’ Council.
