Samantha, who won the FilmFare award for her performance in the Telugu film Ye Maya Chesave, is happy to get the coveted award. The actress says that the credit for the award should go to Trisha because she took her as the role model and acted in Ye Maya Chesave. Interestingly, Ye Maya Chesave is the Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya in which Trisha played Samantha’s role.
Samantha says that she saw Trisha’s performance in VTV and reprised the role. She also thanked Gautham Menon, the film’s director, for giving the character of her life. It may be mentioned here that Gautham is directing the film in Hindi with Amy Jackson playing the female lead.
