Kuppi director Ramesh is making a film on the late forest brigand Veerappan. The notorious Veerappan was wanted by the Tamil Nadu and Karanataka governments in various cases including sandalwood smuggling, animal poaching and kidnapping. In this movie, Arjun plays a police officer and veteran Telugu actor A Nageswarara Rao will play the role of the late Kannada megastar Raj Kumar, who was kidnapped by Veerappan.
It should be mentioned here that Ramesh had directed Kuppi, the controversial film on Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination some years ago. He is now taking up yet another contentious subject – the life and death of Veerappan.
