Noted lyricist Vairamuthu celebrated his
birthday at Ponmani Maligai yesterday. His
birthday was declared as the Kavignar Thirunal
by the Vettri Thamizhar Peravai.
Vairamuthu honored lyricist Poovai Senguttuvan
with the Kavignar Thirunal award and received
his blessings.
He also distributed cash assistance to the
tune of Rs. 60 lakhs to 57 deserving students.
Speaking at this function, Vairamuthu said
that he intends to enter public life without
any traces of politics. The book Kannadasan
Oru Kaalapezhai was released during this
occasion by Vairamuthu.
