All members belonging to the 23 Unions under the FEFSI are planning to go on a fast with their family members. According the FEFSI chief, MA Ramadurai, Treasurer Angamuthu Shanmugam and Secretary G Siva, the Producers’ Council failed to revise the pay for the technicians for the past four years even after repeated requests.
It was after a long wait the FEFSI decided to revise the pay. They also alleged that it is the Producers’ Council that is responsible for the shooting of various films being stalled. The fast is also against the outdoor unit companies that are arranging for other alternatives to shoot films.
