Muthukku Muthaga, a film by Rasu Madhuvaran, is a family drama filled with sentiments and emotions. The trailer of this film was launched at a function in Chennai recently. As per the story, Saranya and Ilavarasu play the parents of five sons – Veerasamar, Vikranth, Harish, Nattu and UK Senthil Kumar. The film also has Varsha and Monica as the female leads while newbie Janaki from Madurai is the baddie.
Speaking at this event, Saranya said that she was not aware of what chemistry meant until she worked with Ilavarasu in Kalavani as their on-screen pairing was well-received by the audiences. She added that once Ilavarasu mentioned to her that the talk in Kollywood is that they make a good on-screen pair like Sridevi but refused to disclose the hero’s name. She completed it by saying “Kamal Haasan” as the actor did not want to mention it.
Ilavarasu recalled that when Rasu Madhuvaran narrated the story to him and told him that the character would go to Nasser, he instantly felt jealous. After a couple of days, Ilavarasu mustered up courage to request the director that he be considered for the role as Nasser had done enough good roles in his long career. Eventually, Rasu Madhuvaran decided to cast him, more so his interest.
The actor pointed out that when met Nasser during an event, he told about the role and how the opportunity came to him. Rasu Madhuvaran turned highly emotional when he said that Ilavarasu’s role resembled that of his father.
Manivannan and RK Selvamani were the chief guests in this event. The trailer was released by RK Selvamani and received by the entire crew. The entire trailer launch was like a family function with tears, laughter and gaiety.
