Barely out of the success of his Pongal release Aadukalam, Dhanush is already ready with his next. Maapillai, which is a remake of Rajinikanth’s 1989 film of the same name, is being directed by Suraj and is all set to release in April.
The film stars Hansika Motwani and the highlight would be Manisha Koirala who will play Dhanush’s mother-in-law. The director is said to have shaped the film in such a way that the audience of today can relate to it. The movie scores high on the expectations meter as Dhanush has had consecutive successes for long. His role as Karuppu in Aadukalam has impressed the audience and the critics. We hope he will continue his success streak in Maapillai as well.
