The tiff between the FEFSI and the Producers’ Council remain unresolved. At the meeting held yesterday, the FEFSI refused the Producers’ Council proposal to differentiate big budget and small budget films. According to the producers all films made on a budget of less than 4 crores should be small budget and movie made on a budget above that should be categorized as big budget.
The FEFSI did not agree to this immediately. FEFSI’s extraordinary general body meeting is scheduled today to discuss this issue and an announcement is expected this evening. Yesterday’s meeting was attended by the FEFSI chief Rama Durai and the Producers’ Council Chairman SA Chandrasekar among others.
