Director Selvaraghavan was engaged to his sweetheart Geetanjali today (10th February) at the bride’s residence at 10 30 am. The marriage has been fixed for the 3rd of July 2011 and is to happen in Chennai.
Clad in a simple red cotton kurta holding hands with his bride Geetanjali in a beautiful Kanchivaram silk saree, Selvaraghavan looked exuberant. Geetanjali’s parents Advocate General of Tamilnadu P.S. Raman and his wife Padmini Raman hosted the engagement which also marked the presence of Selvaraghavan’s parents, director Kasthuri Raja & his wife Vijayalakshmi
Rajinikanth and family, Kamal Haasan and Gauthami, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, and Yuvan Shankar Raja graced the occasion.
Prominent Telugu Star Venkatesh and his nephew, actor Rana Daggubati were also present at the event and so did Abbas along with his wife and designer Erum Ali.
Director Selvaraghavan, on 15 December 2006, married actress Sonia Agarwal, with whom he has worked in three films. After their two-year-long marriage, Sonia Agarwal and Selvaraghavan had filed for divorce with mutual consent in a family court in Chennai on 9th August 2009.
Selvaraghavan later fell in love with Geetanjali who was his assistant director and they have now decided to take their relationship ahead with marriage. We congratulate Selvaraghavan on his engagement and also wish him professional success.
