Prakash Raj has been gearing up for the release of Payanam, a film produced by him, this Friday. But now there seems to be some problems for this film as a Chennai-based financier has filed a petition in the High Court of Madras seeking a stay on its release until the amount due to him is paid up.
Prakash Raj, who also plays an important role in Payanam along with Nagarjuna, has borrowed a sum of 50 lakhs from Mahendra Kumar Jain and it is this amount that the financier wants to be settled before the film’s release.
On hearing this petition, the Judge ordered Prakash Raj to either pay up the amount or issue a security for the said sum.
