The prestigious Kalaimamani Awards by the Tamil Nadu State Government was presented by the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at Valluvar Kottam on February 13th, 2011. The glittering event was attended by several top film personalities.
The Kalaimamani Awards for the year 2009 went to Rajeev Menon, Bharadwaj, Rohini, Revathy Sankaran, Chinni Jayanth and Saranya among others.
Arya, Tammannah, Anushka and others received the Kalaimamani Awards for the year 2010.
Maestro Ilayaraja was honored with the MS Subbulakshmi Award, Jayakanthan with Bharathi Award and Padma Subramaniam with Bala Saraswathi Award.
