The Edison Best Film Award has been bagged by Endhiran while the Best Actor and Actress Awards went to Silambarasan and Trisha respectively. The awards distribution ceremony was held at the Lady Andal School in Chennai and was well-attended by the film fraternity.
Amala Paul won the Best New Face Award for her performance in Myna and AL Vijay took home the Best Director Award for Madarasapattinam. Director Sargunam won the Best Debutant Director Award for Kalavani and GV Prakash was awarded with the Best Music Director Award for Madarasapattinam.
