Rajinikanth’s Sivaji 3D has received a good opening thanks to the release date landing on the Superstar’s birthday 12.12.12. The audience who watched the film were curious as to why several scenes were snipped in the 3D version. Production house AVM released a clarification in this regard.
According to AVM’s statement, a 3D film is required to be only 90 mins long in order to avoid strain on the audience’s eyes. This technical reason led to quite a few scenes being chopped off. Still the film has a running time of almost 155 mins, and that’s because certain scenes had to be retained to propel the film forward fluently, the production house claims.
