Dev Anand, popular star in Bollywood, died on Saturday night at the age of 88 in London. His end came following a massive cardiac arrest. Dev Anand is not only an actor but also a director and producer. He was honored by the Indian government with Padma Bhushan award in 2001 and Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2002.
Apart from these awards several national and international awards have been bestowed on Dev Anand over the years.
He entered the film industry in 1946 and has been active all these years. Dev Anand’s autobiography, Romancing with Life, was released in 2007 and this year, his black and white hit film Hum Dono was digitized and released in color.
