The long battle for the custody of her eldest son Vijay Srihari came to an end for Vanitha with the High Court Division Bench ordering that she still has the custodial rights. The judges opined that Vanitha’s ex-husband Akash, who willing gave the custodial rights to Vanitha a few years ago, cannot reclaim it without the court’s order again.
The judges held that Vanitha and Akash could seek recourse on the custodial rights at the family court. They added that while deciding the case, the family court need not take this judgment as a precedent.
Reacting to the judgment, Vanitha said that she is happy to be united with her son after the tough times she went through.
