Actor-director Pandiarajan was at the Kichees Cake Shop recently to inaugurate it. Recalling his long association with ‘Velvet’ Rajkumar, whose daughter Krishika owns the shop, Pandiarajan said that the family is known for bringing out creative ideas.
The actor said that when no distributor came forward to distribute his film Purushan Enakku Arasan, which was produced by SS Chandran, it was Rajkumar who procured the rights. “Despite the film not doing well at the box office, our friendship still continues,” Pandiarajan recalled.
The actor said that such friendships are very rare in the film industry and as in today’s scenario one cannot see the producer and the director together on the same dais even when the film is to hit the screens soon.
