The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, with the support of Government of Tamil Nadu, SIFCC, FFI & Film Fraternity, is organizing the 8th Chennai International Film Festival at the Woodlands Theatre, Woodlands Symphony, South Indian Film Chamber Theatre and INOX Theatre in Chennai from December 15th to 23rd 2010.
Five shows will be screened at the Woodlands, Woodlands Symphony and the South Indian Film Chamber while at the INOX four shows will be screened.
The film fest will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Information & Public Relations Parithi Ilamvazhuthi on December 15th at the Woodlands Theatre at 6:15 pm. The closing ceremony will also take place at the same time on December 23rd.
Over 130 films from 43 countries will be screened during this fest and 12 Tamil films will compete for various awards such as Best Film, Second Best Film, Special Jury Award to an Individual, and Best Director in addition to the Award for independent Tamil Feature Film promoted by Southern Monsoon Company.
