Mountaineer Aron Ralston’s travails during one of his expeditions and how he survived 127 hours after having to sever his arms to free himself from a boulder, has been made into a film under the title 127 Hours. Danny Boyle has directed this film and AR Rahman has scored the music.
Having heard the music of 127 Hours, Ralston sent a hand written note to Rahman on how impressed he was with the music. The note reads as follows: “For A.R, Thank you for bringing your amazing music to my story - if only I had your soundtrack in the Canyon, I could've lasted another 127 hours. Best Wishes, A.R. (Aron Ralston).”
