They cheered up from galleries, waved the flags and hailed the players during matches. Now it’s time to walk into fields and exhibit their skills. Celebrity Cricket League will bring the celebrities of Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood, Kannada film industry and Mollywood together now. The tournament will have 10 league matches and a grand finale with reigning actors of Indian film industry competing for the trophy.
CCL has already hosted similar tournaments in Tollywood that was successful. Sohail Khan Entertainment, owned by Sohail Khan has brought the ‘Mumbai Heroes’ team. The team will have Suneil Shetty as the Captain and Riteish Deshmukh as vice-captain while Salman Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Kunal Khemu of ‘Superstar’ fame, Harman Baweja, Arbaaz Khan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Shreyas Talpade, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Irrfan Khan, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Apoorva Lakhia, Kabir Sadanand, Vikas Kalantri, Makrand Deshpande as wicket keeper and Angad Bedi.
Players in the other teams will be confirmed shortly and the venues of matches are fixed in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
