Rajinikanth clearly values his old friends. He and Shatrughan Sinha have worked together in Asli Naqli, 26 years ago but they have remained good friends over the years. Apparently, Rajini sees Sinha as his Guru and used to watch all his films when he was a newcomer in the industry. Shatrughan Sinha and Rajini have become even closer now because Sinha was taken ill and hospitalized and Rajini could empathize as he also suffered a health scare recently.
Rajini has been calling Shatrughan Sinha's wife regularly to enquire about his health and has also been giving tips about the proper diet and fitness regime to follow in order to bounce back from the illness. According to sources, Rajini is planning to fly down to Mumbai for a visit once Sinha is released from the hospital.
