Trisha Krishnan is among the longest surviving heroines currently and she has a good market in both the Tamil and Telugu industry. She has completed a decade in cinema and the Telugu industry honored her for the same. The Santosham Film Awards gave her this distinction.

It was also a surprise for actor Prasanna when he was announced as the best villain for Muran. He tweeted, "Received best villain awards for my role in Muran from Telugu superstar Balakrishna garu:) thanks santhosham team!"
