She will be filing her nomination in September for the elections to be held in October.
Politics is in her blood as her grandfather, SM Krishna was the former Chief Minister of Karnataka state. The actress is said to be a great admirer of Rahul Gandhi and his brand of politics. She met him recently and was even more impressed. Now that she has decided to join politics, she will be juggling her career in films, her personal life with boyfriend Rafael and her political aspirations.
