Our Tamil stars are very patriotic and proud to be Indians. On the 65th year of Independence, they had quite a lot to say about the state of our country. Vijay said that he dreams of an India which can proudly claim that every Indian has been educated. He said that he is doing his part to help the poor get a decent education and also pursue higher studies especially in important fields like computer science and hopes that others will do so as well.
Trisha said that freedom is the most precious birthright we have received from our ancestors who fought and died for it. By following their ideals and lofty principals we can achieve out potential as a great country and also rid society of its evils.
Madhavan, Amala Paul, Ajmal, and Tamannah talked about the necessity of rooting out corruption. Maddy expressed outrage at the treatment meted out to Anna Hazare and said that freedom of speech is a must and that corruption must be fought. Amala Paul echoed this sentiment and said that all Indians must support men like Anna.
Ajmal called on today's youth to take a firm stand against corruption because they hold the promise for a brighter future. Tamannah said there is a lot of things that are good and bad about our nation and we should take only the good and leave out all the bad stuff in order to grow as a country.
