Sreeman was last seen in the horror film, Kanchana as Raghava Lawrence's brother and he got good reviews for his comic interlude in it. His next movie also belongs to the same genre. The project has been named Aduthadhu and will be directed by Thakkali Srinivasan who is considered as something of a specialist when it comes to churning out films loaded with thrills and chills.
Aduthadu is about ten people who are left stranded on an island as part of a reality show where the winner gets to take home 1 crore. But soon scary things start to happen and the individuals start to die one by one. Will there be any survivors? That is the question. The rest of the cast comprises of Aarthi, Vivek, Nasser, Meenal, Dharshini, and Anuj.
The director said that he has refused FMS rights to the film hoping to prevent pirated DVDs from hitting the market before the release of the film. In this way, he hopes to turn a big profit for his film. If this strategy works, perhaps others will follow suit.
