Dhanush is currently busy with Mayakkam Enna and his wife Aishwariya's directorial debut, 3 with Shruti Hassan. He was approached by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran to play the hero in his directorial debut. Dhanush was so kicked with the role that he accepted the offer immediately. The script as well as the role are perfect for him and the national award winner is pleased to have gotten the part. In fact, Ravi K Chandran had been keen that only Dhanush do the role as it is tailor made for him.
The heroine has not been finalized yet. The film will be produced by SS Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. Ravi K Chandran and Dhanush are not willing to reveal anything further about the plot. So we will just have to wait and watch.
