AR Rahman has collaborated with international stars like Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, and Damien Marley on a track called Satyameva Jayate which was released yesterday across the country. Mick Jagger has rendered his portion entirely in Sanskrit. And not surprisingly, as befitting a living legend, he sounds absolutely awesome.
ARR said that he was delighted when Dave called him and said they wished to include his voice and music in a song that will be representative of India in their album. Since this has been a dream of his for a long time, ARR was happy to oblige. His Vande Mataram is considered by many to be among his finest work and he is hoping that Satyameva Jayate will do even better.
