Minister M Karunanidhi inaugurated the Kalaignar
Nagar in Paiyyanur near Chennai. Ninety-six
acres of land have been allocated for building
15,000 houses for the deserving film stars
and technicians.
Rajinikanth, Mammootty, Sarath Kumar,
Jithendra, Kushboo, Ramanarayanan, AVM
Saravanan, Dasari Narayana Rao and host
of films stars, directors and producers
were present at the event.
Speaking at this function, the CM reiterated
that his long association with the film
industry will continue.
Rajini said that he was well aware that
when the CM announced this project it
would take off immediately. The Superstar
added that a grand function should be
held soon after the project is complete.
