A
function to mark laying of the foundation
for the houses to be built for film workers
and technicians is to be held on August 22,
2010. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi
will lay the foundation stone.
Films artistes and technicians will participate
in the inauguration of this Kalaignar Nagar
at Paiyyanur near Chennai and 200 buses have
been arranged to transport them to the spot.
Rajinikanth, Bollywood star Jithendra, Mammootty,
Sarath Kumar and Venkatesh will grace the
occasion. Noted director K Balachandar will
head this event along with Dasari Narayan
Rao and AVM Saravanan. Rama Narayanan will
deliver the welcome speech. The entire film
industry is expected to attend this landmark
event.
