Karthi inaugurated the Oculoplasty Reconstructive
and Aesthetic Clinic in Chennai on Monday
August 16, 2010. The actor was detailed
about Oculoplasty and its uses.
The Chairman Emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya
S.S. Badrinath was with Karthi Sivakumar
during this event.
Nirmala Subramanian, professor of Oculoplasty,
Sankara Nethralaya said, “Reconstructive
surgeries are usually done on the eye lids,
which can enhance the looks and expression.
Correcting asymmetrical eye lids and cleft
eye lids in newborns are also part of the
Oculoplastic treatments.”
According to Shubra Goel, patients at the
clinic would be diagnosed and treated for
abnormalities of the structures around eye,
naso-labial folds and facial paralysis.
