The Kerala Government
celebrates Onam week every year and this
year it will be from August 22nd to 28th.
During the inaugural ceremony, versatile
actor Kamal Haasan will be honored for completing
50 years in cinema.
This event will be attended by V.S. Achuthanandan,
Chief Minister of Kerala, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan,
Minister Home, Vigilance & Tourism,
M.A.Baby, Minister for Education &
Culture, and V.Sivankutty MLA, Chairman
of the Program Committee for Onam Celebrations-2010,
other ministers of Kerala, Oommen Chandy,
and leader of Opposition, C. Jayan Babu,
Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Shashi
Tharoor, M.P and others.
Several stars and members belonging to
South Indian Film Chamber, Kerala Film
Chamber, Film Distributors Association,
Film Exhibitor’s Federation, Producers
Association, FEFKA etc., will also grace
the occasion.
