Poi Solla Porom joins the league of
innumerable movies that encountered
title-tussle in the past. Producer Keelpakkam
Shanmugapriyan has staked claim for
the title and has approached the Chennai
Civil Court in this regard.
Shanmugapriyan’s write petition
came
for hearing today in the City Civil Court.
He alleged that the title Poi Solla Poren
was registered by him in the producers’
council and also mentioned in his petition
that repeated pleas to the council for action
against the producers of Poi Solla Porom fell
on deaf ears.
The one-member jury, after studying the petition,
ordered a self-explanatory note in this regard
from producers Four Frames and UTV Motion
pictures. After which, any action deemed appropriate
would be initiated.
